In the UK, there's a lot of focus on group work and presentations, which was very new to me at first. That said, I think it's crucial to practise speaking, and also listening, reading and writing - it's really helpful for future study. The College offers so much encouragement and support before you start your degree, and my personal tutor was so helpful - I could not have got my Merit without him!
The College has really helped me in many ways. Every student has a personal tutor, and there are helpdesks for all subjects. The library and computer rooms are also really good resources. I’ve met a lot of people from different cultures since I’ve been here; it’s a great experience.
