I researched studying here in the UK, and found that York would be the best university for me. There are students of many different nationalities here, but whose cultures are quite similar to mine. I've also had the College staff supporting me, and they are all really kind!

As Subject Area Lead for Science and Engineering, I keep an eye on all of the students within the Science Pathways and in Maths classes. I monitor the results of tests and try to help students achieve their goals in whatever way I can. I deliver much of the chemistry teaching and I enjoy explaining how the subject works. I get real pleasure from the way students' faces light up when they understand a difficult point. I am still fascinated by the subject of chemistry and I love passing on my enthusiasm. Every year I look forward to welcoming the new group of students starting with the University of York International Pathway College.
