In Fall 2020, our US university partners plan to offer classes to on-campus students through a “hybrid” mode*. Hybrid learning uses a mix of traditional in-person classes and online methods.

This flexible way of learning will help universities provide an enriching study experience, while also reducing classroom density to allow social distancing. Each university will be following the latest health and safety guidance, with regular cleaning, compulsory face coverings and comprehensive testing. You can rest assured knowing your wellness and education are in good hands!

* Campus opening plans reflect current public health guidance and may change. Simmons University will only offer online courses because it is not opening its campus in the Fall. As of July 15, F-1 visa students are permitted to take in-person, hybrid, or online courses while in the USA. This is subject to continued approval by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP).

If you’re unable to travel to the USA, you don’t need to put your study plans on hold. You can enroll in a program remotely, and join on-campus study when it’s possible to do so.

Digital learning is a great opportunity to continue without a study gap, so you can feel confident moving forward with your US university application.

When starting your program online, you can study in your country without a US visa and come to campus later when you have your visa in hand. There are remote enrollment options through:

• digital learning at Arizona State University
• digital learning at Pace University
• virtual learning at Simmons University

This Autumn, you can start your UK pathways programme in person. Your course in the UK will consist of blended learning, which offers a mixture of online and face-to-face teaching in small groups. This is all designed to make sure our colleges and partner university study centres are safe environments, where social distancing can be adhered to, and to ensure study plans are flexible enough to cater to everyone’s needs.

You can start your pathway course digitally from your home country, with our comprehensive digital learning solutions. You can then join us in person once it’s possible for you to travel or your situation allows.

However, if you can’t make it, don’t worry. In most cases, it’s possible to finish your entire pathway course online if that better suits your situation (subject to continued approval by UK Visas and Immigration).

Whether you’re starting your pathway course here in the UK, or from your home country, when the time comes for you to find accommodation we’ll help you find the perfect home away from home.

It’s important that you only book accommodation when you know what your plans are, and know you’re able to travel to the UK. Remember, we’ll be supporting and advising you at every step, and we’ll make sure you find accommodation that suits your needs.

In many cases, we’ll take you through the booking process for our accommodation options at the time that’s right for you. In exceptional cases where this isn’t possible, we’ll refer you to our trusted third-party accommodation providers, with which we have worked for many years, and whose options and service levels meet our high standards.
